Abstract

In Everyone is born with a facility, I was born to teach. Maria Teresa Gonzalez de Giron. Rural teacher. Ana Victoria Jimenez Alvarez rescues the biography of rural teacher, Maria Teresa Gonzalez de Giron, through an interview. In it, she reveals her happy family environment during her childhood and youth. From a large family, in which she received teachings from her father, merchant, and from her mother, educated in a college of nuns where she learned sewing, embroidery, knitting, cooking, oil painting, activities that as well she taught to her daughter. Maria Teresa always had a vocation for teaching, she enjoyed teaching reading and writing. She was a teacher in several schools in different towns near San Luis Potosi. Being more than eighty years old, almost fifty years married, one daughter and a granddaughter, she feels happy of being able to narrate her life.
