Abstract
Following the birth of her second child, Alicia Ayora Talavera, tells the experience of being a mother of a disabled child and her struggle for survival.
Narrates the changes that she has experienced in her life and the mixed feelings she had as a result of her son’s condition, until finally she stopped looking for causes and accepted things as they were, but above all, she has managed to enjoy every moment intensely.
For her, sharing her experience has been therapeutic, it is what has sustained her during these years. Now, she feels calm and at peace because she has done everything she could for her son.
